Ossie Clark:  luscious Seventies looks revisited by rave-worthy house, down to the opaque white tights. Ossie Clark doesn’t get nearly the attention designer Avsh Alom Gu deserves. View complete collection>>

My favorite recap of New York Fashion Week is Cathy Horyn’s slideshow for NYT; she cuts to the point and focuses on the buzzworthy designers (Alexander Wang and Jason Wu), the landmark New Yorkers (Michael Kors, Isaac Mizrahi, Ralph Lauren, Donna Karan, Chado Ralph Rucci), critically-acclaimed Rodarte, and fashionista favorite Diane von Furstenburg.

Tonight I realized that I missed Maria Taylor at The Echoplex (in other words, a hop skip and a jump away). I loved Azure Ray so reading old posts on Pop & Hiss turned up the show info and Taylor’s video for “Time Lapse Lifeline.” Pop & Hiss calls it “a pensive and nostalgic track with a dose of her signature airy vocals and heartache,” and it features some famous partners in crime– Neely Jenkins, Morgan Nagler, and Brett Anderson–in laugh out loud antics and corniness so good it warms your heart.
